  • December - NEW PUBLICATION : Blake, Nora, Lisa, and Greg publish a review article in Journal of Neuroscience Research on engaging endogenous opioid circuits in pain affective processes.

  • October - NEW GRANT: The Lab is awarded the DP2 NIH Director’s New Innovator Award. Thank you so much to NIGMS and the Common Fund for this strong support to investigate novel strategies to leverage cortical opioidergic circuits as intrinsic analgesics to disrupt the aversive qualities of pain perception !

2018

  • Signed an offer for tenure-track Assistant Professor at Penn, Perelman School of Medicine, joint-appointment in Depts of Psychiatry and Neuroscience

  • June - NEW PUBLICATION: Our new review on opioids in the Annual Review of Neuroscience is released! Endogenous and Exogenous Opioids in Pain. This was a fun writing collaboration with Michael Bruchas and Daniel Castro, WashU. Link

  • June - Dr. Corder was featured in the San Jose Mercury News article, Young, brilliant and broke: Push to fund young biomedical scientists. Link

  • March - NEW PUBLICATION: publication in Neuron: "Functional divergence of delta and mu opioid receptor organization in CNS pain circuits", by Dong Wang et al. Our article was selected for the cover!

  • February - NEW PUBLICATION: publication in Nature Medicine: “Loss of mu opioid receptor signaling in nociceptors, and not spinal microglia, abrogates morphine tolerance without disrupting analgesia” by Greg Corder, Viv Tawfik, Dong Wang, Elizabeth Sypek et al. Our article was featured on the cover!
